Christmas Meme gacked from

Dec. 13th, 2005 10:11 pmHere's that Christmas meme that's been going around. Some of these questions were harder than others, LOL!
1. Do you have a real or fake Christmas tree?
Fake.
2. Do you put up Christmas lights on the exterior of your home?
Yes, although this year they are a bit sparse, as we are still trying to get repairs done from the hurricane.
3. What's your favorite Christmas song/carol?
Silent Night; Good King Wenceslas; The Twelve Days of Christmas
4. What do you like better. turkey or ham?
Like both of them, actually, but we usually have turkey.
5. Do you open up any Christmas presents on Christmas Eve?
No.
6. Have you ever been Christmas caroling?
Yes, but it’s been several years ago.
7. What was your most memorable Christmas gift(s) that you received?
The year I was in third grade, and got “Tom Sawyer”. I also got a Chatty Cathy, but the book was my best present that year.
8. What's your favorite Christmas movie?
Movie: “Scrooge”--the Albert Finney musical version (“Thank you very much! Thank you very much! That’s the nicest thing that anyone’s ever done for meee!)
TV special: “A Charlie Brown Christmas”
9. Have you ever built a real snowman?
Yes, but not very often. Last time we had enough snow to do that was--oh, maybe ten years ago? Maybe more?
10. Have you ever peeked into a present and found out what it was before Christmas?
Yes.
11. What is on the top of your Christmas tree?
A ratty crocheted angel that I made the first year we were married and too broke to buy much in the way of ornaments. It doesn’t light up or anything, and since I stiffened it with sugar water, it is now rather limp and has brown spots. The DH adores it and will have nothing else atop the tree.
12. Do you own a Santa hat?
Well, I got one last year, but I sure the heck can’t find it now…
13. When was the last time you had your picture taken with Santa Claus?
Oh, I’d say probably about 47 or 48 years ago--I look to be about five or six in the picture.
14. Have you started your Christmas shopping yet?
No. Money’s tight this year. We just had to put $400 bucks more of our own budget into the house repairs. I’m keeping my fingers crossed that there will be enough to get the kids and grandkids Christmas, and that we will still be able to go see them.
15. Do you put candy canes on your Christmas tree?
Some years we do, some we don’t.
16. Who is hardest person to buy for?
The DH. He never wants to tell me what he wants, or if he does, it’s an impossibility.
17. Who is the easiest person to buy for?
My brother and sister--gift cards.
18. How old were you when you realized Santa was imaginary?
Uh--excuse me? Imaginary? Uh--nohe’snot
19. What does your morning of Christmas routine consist of?
We get up really early. Open our stockings, then we have Christmas breakfast: steak, waffles, hash browns, scrambled eggs w/ cheese--the works. Then we open the gifts under the tree.
20. Egg Nog?
I keep egg nog (the non-alcholic kind) in the house from Thanksgiving on through Christmas--it’s my DH’s beverage of choice for all the Christmas TV specials he likes to watch. And I have some too, once in a while.
21. What do you want for Christmas this year?
I want my house finished and things back to normal. But I wouldn’t say no to having the DVD of Ringers, or the EE Soundtrack that just came out.
