Lent has ended and the day of Easter is here! I have to work today, so we went to the Sunrise service. Because we are having much needed rain here today, the planned outdoor service was held at our church instead.

I've enjoyed the challenge of making my Lenten posts this year. I hope that they have not been entirely boring, and that perhaps a few of you found them inspiring as I did. It's Maundy Thursday. Which is to say, it's the day of Holy Week on which we remember the Last Supper. We had a very quiet, simple and moving service tonight, one which included song, foot-washing, and communion. After the service, we also had a brief time for refreshments in the Fellowship Hall.

Some days I have a hard time finding what inspires me. Every now and then, I may have more than one thing I wish to share and have to choose, and at other times, I have to look hard for something new.

But today I had no such difficulty. On my way home from work I was listening to Rick Steve's Travel Show on Public Radio, and he was having an interview with Rev. Jim Wallis, who has traveled extensively in Third World countries. I was very moved by this interview, and so that is what I am sharing with you all today:
