Gacked from half the people on my flist: The TV meme...

Name a TV show series in which you have seen every episode at least twice:
Star Trek: TOS

Name a (current) show you can't miss:
Only been 4 eps so far, but "Once Upon a Time" is fun so far. I also haven't missed "Pan Am" yet.

Name an actor(s) that would make you more inclined to watch a show:
Hmm…there are quite a few actors that could get me to watch a show at least once. Whether I'd follow the show after would depend on the show itself and the rest of the cast.

Name an actor(s) who would make you less likely to watch a show:
Charley Sheen, Roseann Barr

Name a show you can, and do, quote from.
Good heavens, quite a few. Star Trek in its many incarnations, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Doctor Who, The Muppet Show, Mork and Mindy, The Cosby Show, The Beverly Hillbillies…

Name a show you like that no one else enjoys:
Hmm…I think if it's on the air SOMEONE else must watch it, because it would be canceled otherwise, but I would say "Martha's Sewing Room" on PBS and "Knitty Gritty" on DiY, because anytime I bring them up people give me blank stares.

Name a TV show which you've been known to sing the theme song.
Gilligans Island, Beverly Hillbillies, Petticoat Junction, Green Acres, Have Gun Will Travel, Cheyenne, Rawhide, The Brady Bunch, Mr. Rogers, The Mickey Mouse Club…etc, etc, etc.
You will notice those are all oldies. Modern shows don't have those sorts of catchy theme songs.
When my sister and I were young we had a game where we'd sing a TV theme song, and you had to guess—not the show—but the day of the week!

Name a show you would recommend everyone to watch:
Good Morning America. We start just about every weekday morning with Robin, George, Josh, Sam, and Lara. I really think it's the best of the morning news shows, fun and informative. And Robin Roberts is class personified. Even when she's being silly, she's one classy lady.

Name a TV series you own:
We own one season of "Beauty and the Beast" and one season of "Good Neighbors" (An old BBC sitcom from the 70s)

What is your favourite episode of your favourite series?
I don't really have a single favorite series, although I have favorite episodes of a number of series.

A show you mean to watch, but you just haven't gotten around to yet:
Supernatural. Friends on my flist just keep reccing it. We've put the first season into our Netflix queue.

Ever quit watching a show because it was so bad?
Yes. Most recently, LOST after they killed off Charley. I also remember losing interest in Roseanne after the first few seasons. A few others.

Name a show you aren't interested in watching, not in the least:
The Bachelor/Bachelorette

Name a show that's made you cry multiple times:
Can't think of a single one. A few that made me tear up with single episodes. M*A*S*H* episode where Henry is killed makes me tear up every time.

Oldest TV show you like?
Captain Kangaroo? That was a staple of my early childhood, and I still remember a lot of it with fondness.

Newest TV show you like?
Once Upon a Time

What do you eat when you watch TV?
Meals, if I'm home alone. Other than that, I may or may not snack on things. But I always have something to drink at hand, usually ice tea, but sometimes Diet Coke, juice or water.

How often do you watch TV?
Well, we watch GMA most every morning, and ABC news most every night. Sometimes I may watch several shows, other days—especially if I'm home alone, and have something to read—I may watch none at all. I don't like to watch most shows by myself.

Do you have a favorite talk show?
Ellen. I don't watch it all that often since it moved to afternoon, but I really like her—she's a hoot! And I caught a little bit of The Chew the other day. I might like that, but I don't know if I'd watch it on a regular basis.

What's the last TV show you watched?
Just now? Dancing With the Stars. I love that show.

What's your favourite/preferred genre of TV?
DiY—I love shows that show you how to do things—house shows, garden shows, food shows, etc. I also like sci fi/fantasy shows and children's shows.

What's your least favourite genre of TV?
The kinds of reality shows where people are screaming and cussing at each other all the time or making up drama that's supposed to be reality but isn't. I avoid them like the plague.

What was the first TV show you were obsessed with?
The Mickey Mouse Club, most especially when they had the little serial about "Corky and White Shadow". I also loved The Roy Rogers show. I had my own little Dale Evans cowgirl outfit with red cowboy boots…

What TV show do you wish you never watched?
Can't think of one offhand…

What's the weirdest show you enjoyed?
Well, I don't know how weird they are, but if I happen on shows where people are doing strange things with food, like catapulting pumpkins or trying to make the world's biggest pizza, I will almost always stop and watch.

What TV show scared you the most?
Twilight Zone, hands down. The original one back in the sixties—I wasn't supposed to even watch it, but I would sneak out of bed and stand in the hallway where I could see the TV. That was a scary, creepy show. I was about 8 or 9 when I'd do that, and I had more than one nightmare afterwards.

What is the funniest TV show you have ever watched?
I don't even have to think about it: WKRP in Cincinatti—the one where they dropped the turkeys out of the sky! The DH and I laughed ourselves sick. Oh, I guess this should be in the "quoting lines" question: "As God is my witness, I thought turkeys could fly!"

Which do you think is the best TV series ever made?
Ever? And by what criteria? Honestly, I don't know. I'd say the show with the best premise and the most influence on the shows that followed after, would be Star Trek, in all of its various incarnations. It changed how people perceived TV Sci-Fi, and made it a more respectable genre.
M*A*S*H* was pretty brilliant, too, redefining what was acceptable in a sit-com. I'd say it would be way up there high on any list of best shows.
But I don't know about "best ever made".
