Stuff and such...

dreamflowerWhee! Remember I said my sewing machine conked out on me when I was finishing up my art project for May's challenge? Well, we took it into the shop for repair; we were told it was $50 up front, and then extra if there was anything beyond the basic stuff.
I got it back today, and no extra charge! I'm so glad, because now I can finish up my Eagle pillow AND make my square for May's There and Back Again Block. And I can also finish up a denim vest and maybe make a pair of slacks I've been wanting to make.
And: Thursday evening our pastor and her hubby are coming to supper. The DH is going to grill steaks, so I will make some loaded baked potatoes and wrap them in aluminum foil. He can throw them on the grill along with some corn on the cob. I'll make a spinach and strawberry salad, I think, and some of my Roasted Pecan Vinaigrette dressing. And a Two-Crust Lemon Pie for dessert...
