House Pictures
Apr. 28th, 2006 03:07 pmHere's some picspam, thanks to
danachan, who is ever so patient with my technological cluelessness and ineptness.
I know I've mentioned the guest room I've been doing up so...
This first pic is a peek in through the door from the hallway...

Here's over the bed--the shelf has two reading lights mounted underneath it. The black & white pics are old family snaps that my brother had enlarged and framed as Christmas gifts. The "Welcome" is what I was painting when I took the tumble off the ladder last week...it was supposed to have more leaves on the vine, and maybe a flower, but I change my mind after I fell...

Another view of the same wall. The landscape is my one and only oil painting. And the chest is the one I did the famous pull-the-cloth-off-without-breaking-anything trick (which I could not for the life of me have done if I was *trying*) I plan to replace the wreath with a rather large painting...if I ever get around to painting it, that is...

Window wall and closet doors. We keep all our Christmas decorations and my SCA garb in that closet...

Next to the closet is a built-in bookcase...

Another view of the window wall...I'm making a small wall-hanging that will go between the window and the shelf...

So, who's going to come visit me and stay in my new guest room?
The next five are pics of our new sunroom, built to replace the back porch Katrina demolished...

you can see my herbs growing in the windows...

...the instruments that are in the windows are my husband's "freenotes"...those are amazing...anyone can play them, and they will never give out a single bad note...

...another view of the east side of the room...that's my husband's Native American drum, and that's a bear hide hanging over the chair...you can't really see it well, but the small cloth on the table has a unicorn on it...

And one more shot, showing the door to the back yard.

So there you are, for the curious among you!
Great big (((((((huggses)))))) and ♥ ♥ ♥ for Dana!
