Behind a cut for political content.

There have been 130 confirmed tornadoes, with 20 fatalities in 2017. Since the Inauguration, communities have been devastated by floods, blizzards, mudslides, sinkholes... There are people who are still in shelters after their homes were destroyed.

Have we heard a single word of sympathy or support from our new President or even acknowledgement that these events happened? I don't recall it if he has, but please correct me if I am wrong. Does he even have any idea it's part of his job?

Does he care?

Not that I'm aware of. He hasn't even responded to CA's request for state of emergency funds. He's a disgustingly cruel monster who's more concerned with his daughter's clothing line than those he is supposed to lead.

What cracks me up is California submitted a petition to secede less than a month ago, and now they are begging for federal money. What will CA do when it is on its own?

He is punishing California for not voting for him. All he cares about are his own personal interests. He won the presidency. That's all he wanted. Another notch in his belt and now, just like everyone else he has touched, we can all go to hell. He'll just sit back, enjoy the title and run the country into the ground. We have to get out the vote in the mid term elections to defeat the GOP and break their stranglehold on the government!

These are great questions. He did bother to tweet a sympathy statement from his POTUS twitter account on Feb 7th to Louisiana on the tornado outbreak, but that one statement is all that I know of. But it's much more important to go to a Florida rally this weekend or hang out every weekend in his Florida mansion than visit any of the survivors of these events . . . yeah.

This whole business with the connections to Russia and the fact that apparently the GOP is totally okay with it -- when if it was a Democrat in office, they'd already have 12 investigative committees, well it's beyond frightening.

He does have a real lack of empathy for anyone not like him. Black and brown people, women people, gay people, yes, but also middle-America people in those parts of the country he just doesn't have any connection of. Talk about a liberal elitist...
