Jul. 24th, 2006 11:03 pmdreamflower as asked me to let whomever is interested to know she is in hospital and has been since last Sat. night. she will be having gallbladder surgery july 25th and if there are no complications may be home as early as tomorrow night. she will probably not be able to do much except take pain meds for a day or two. any way that is it. now i will tell her in the AM i actually was able to do what she asked. her computer challenged husband bids all a goodnight and good by and God bless.

One advice the hospital didn't give me when I had the surgery in April: For the first few hours after you get her home, sleeping in a sitting position, propped up with pillows, will help with nausea. You know this because of being in medicine, but they didn't tell me. Also cold ginger ale is helpful.

Also crackers, bananas, and potatoes help for the first few days.
