HAPPY BIRTHDAY GAMGEEFEST

Here's a birthday fic for you. It's a lot more angsty than I had intended, but I hope you will enjoy it.
Warning: there's a character death, but blame this one on the Professor.

I thought that some of you might appreciate the information on the Calendars JRRT came up with for Middle-earth that one of the posters, Oddyseus, at Chapter of the Week came up with. With his permission, I am pasting his article here:

I was somewhat disappointed at the lack of discussion generated at r.a.b.t./a.f.t by my own CotW summary on the Hobbit Family Trees last week, which many of you were kind enough to vet for me. However, I try to remember that in "Concerning Hobbits" JRRT said "all but Hobbits would find them exceedingly dull". The info got a lot more interest here, so, guess what, friends--we must be hobbits, LOL!

One more time around:

1. Grab the nearest book.
2. Open the book to page 123.
3. Find the fifth sentence.
4. Post the text of the sentence in your journal...along with these instructions.
5. Don't search around and look for the "coolest" book you can find. Do what's actually next to you.

This extreme cursive character is also notieable on strokes that are used to terminate at the head and feet. from The Calligrapher's Bible by David Harris.

LOL! A new sentence for a change, and only because I'd pulled this book out to answer a poster's question, and sat it on top of my copy of LotR that lives on the desk.
