Eating

For someone who likes to cook, I certainly find myself eating out a lot. I can have something all planned, and my DH can easily tempt me out of it. "Wouldn't you rather go out? No mess to clean up?" and I fall for it every time. But today was just overkill.

We had *planned* to go out to dinner tonight.

But we ended up having breakfast at Sonic, because I had to be at work early. He always takes me to work and picks me up on the weekend. I got off at noon, and thought we would go on home to have lunch, and I was planning on heating up some homemade vegetable soup left from earlier in the week. Instead, he detours by Backyard Burger. *Then* we went out for supper as planned, to TGIF.

I won't even be fixing my own lunch tomorrow, as I couldn't finish my entree, and brought it home.

We spent a *lot* of money eating out, when I had perfectly good food at home to cook. It makes me feel mildly guilty.

Yours isn't the only one who does that. Sometimes I wonder if he even likes my cooking. Hmmm...

But yes, when I shop and cook (with the garden produce I grow too) we spend about $200 LESS per per month - sometimes more than that. It really makes an incredible difference.

I do that sort of thing all the time. I work a 12 to 8 shift an hour's drive from my home so I have something on the way to work in the car, lunch from some take out at work or no real lunch at all and then something on the way home from some drive-through. The only time I eat at hom is on the weekends and sometimes I wind up going out with friends or family then. I think everyone does it.

Funny. I hate to cook and hardly eat out, except at work a couple times a week. Other than that, I survive on salads, soups and frozen dinners and boxed foods. That's so unhealthy.

Nothing wrong with indulging once in a while :-)

I guess if it doesn't happen often then it's all right :)

LOL, too true. I could never do the no carb diet. I love my carbs! Pasta, mac and cheese, bread, any type of grain. If only I could incorporate veggies into my diet more often and lay off the chocolate a little.

I think I went out for dinner only four times last year, lol. I love to cook and besides we don't really have the money to eat out often. It's expensive and even more so since the Euro came.
