For someone who likes to cook, I certainly find myself eating out a lot. I can have something all planned, and my DH can easily tempt me out of it. "Wouldn't you rather go out? No mess to clean up?" and I fall for it every time. But today was just overkill.
We had *planned* to go out to dinner tonight.
But we ended up having breakfast at Sonic, because I had to be at work early. He always takes me to work and picks me up on the weekend. I got off at noon, and thought we would go on home to have lunch, and I was planning on heating up some homemade vegetable soup left from earlier in the week. Instead, he detours by Backyard Burger. *Then* we went out for supper as planned, to TGIF.
I won't even be fixing my own lunch tomorrow, as I couldn't finish my entree, and brought it home.
We spent a *lot* of money eating out, when I had perfectly good food at home to cook. It makes me feel mildly guilty.

Date: 2005-02-21 10:56 pm (UTC)Normally, if I'm working enough hours for a lunch break, I take leftovers from home. I do like to cook, and during the week, when he's working, and I am home more often than not, I do cook supper.
But it can still be a budget buster to go out as much as we do on weekends.

Date: 2005-02-21 10:58 pm (UTC)I *do* know how to cook healthy meals. But my taste buds tell me my favorite food is cholesterol, LOL! (Red meat, cheese, ice cream, cheese, bacon, cheese...)
