Wednesday of Dana's visit...

Well, we've had quite a day today! After breakfast, we went to the gym. The girl told us they had just refilled the pool, and that it had not heated up yet, so we went upstairs and walked on the treadmill for a while, as we watched Ellen. Then we went down and got into our swimsuits--Dana actually got *in*--I got in just up to my ankles, and brrr...*shudder*. Dana got right out again, LOL! So we got in the jacuzzi for a while. Then we went to the videostore, but couldn't find what we were looking for--stopped at the grocery store, and then came home.

After a lunch of vegetable-buffalo soup and a salad, we got busy making hobbits! Both of us got quite a bit of fic done, though I don't know if we've anything postable yet. We had spaghetti for supper, and then we put RotK EE in, and watched it, making fun of some parts, and squeeing or melting over other parts.

Tomorrow we may take a ride down Route 66.

Guess what? danae_b and I both like hobbits!! Who'da thunk it? *grin*

The DH is away tonight and tomorrow night for work, so we've had the evening all to ourselves.

I'm so glad you two are having a good visit :-) I should get ROTK EE out - I haven't watched it in quite awhile.

Interesting, I live in a town in IL that Old Route 66 runs through :-)

Route 66 is so fascinating!

Well, *some* people *say* they don't, but I'm not sure I believe them!

*snicker* It was an anonymous buffalo, so I'm not sure who killed it, but it sure was delicious! We had it three times while she was here--the soup, and we had buffalo-burgers at a restaurant, and then I made buffalo-steaks for dinner one night.

Dana's got a lot of hers finished, and since it's mostly birthday fics for people, it will be posted at the appropriate times. I didn't get anything except the new Rusty story completely finished, but made a good deal of headway on several others.

My son has eaten buffalo and he liked it. I don't do meat so unless there are buffalo fish somewhere I guess I'm outta luck.

I need to write more but instead I've been playing at making icons and watching Doctor Who. hehehe

Doctor Who is a good thing to be watching. I've been wasting my afternoon watching ST: Enterprise and ST: Voyager reruns that I Tivo'd while Dana was here.
