Well, she's gone...

danae_b is well on her way home now. I'm hoping her flight home is trouble-free and very UNadventurous.
We've had a great time, in spite of our close call, which you may read about here: http://danae-b.livejournal.com/18760.html .
In spite of the close call, we had a great time. The old gas station ruins she mentioned are fascinating--there's an informational sign there that tells its history--it was one of the oldest gas stations on Route 66, and had been there since possibly as early as the 19-teens, definitely the twenties. It served at one time as the headquarters for a counterfeiting operation, and later on, there was a *murder* there! And Pop's, where we had lunch was a hoot! As soon as I can, I'll post some pics!
We worked on hobbits, and rested today, until it was time to go to the airport.
It was so wonderful to have her here and visit with her. I'm really going to miss her!
