Still adjusting...
Feb. 3rd, 2008 10:24 amTo smalltown life and Oklahoma--
Smalltown life has advantages and disadvantages, sometimes in the very same package. To wit: There is only *one* movie theater in town, and it is so old that it still shows only *one* movie at a time. On the other hand, the price is a bargain. It used to cost the DH and I $14 bucks just for admission for the two of us in Gulfport, and popcorn and drinks were exorbitant, to put it mildly. Here, it's $10.75 for two tickets, a large popcorn and two drinks!
However, when we got there, we discovered the 7PM show had run late. So those of us who were waiting in line to get our tickets had to stand *outside* in the cold for over a half hour, while the small staff cleaned the theater. There was not even anyone in the box office to sell the tickets! Anyway, "Alvin and the Chipmunks" was fun!
And Oklahoma weather? The forecast: High tomorrow, 72, Tuesday--snow!
Anyway--off to church now!
