I've got mail!
Dec. 15th, 2008 08:23 pmI love getting mail this time of year!
Today the postman brought to us:
-Christmas cards from
grey_wonderer,
the_arc5 and from Anne,
marigoldg's mom, who stayed with us after Hurricane Katrina
-a package from my sister-in-law containing her fabulous homemade brownies! (Which we are eating for dessert tonight, along with Braum's French Vanilla Ice Cream.)
-a totally and completely unexpected check for $83.37! (This came from our former electric company in Mississippi. It was a co-op, and we always got an annual dividend from them at the end of the year--but we've been moved for two years! But apparently they run about two years behind with them, so this will be our last one. It was *VERY* welcome!
*grin*

Date: 2008-12-16 01:49 pm (UTC)It was a nice card, and she seems to be doing all right! But you know, she helped me, too! I can't imagine how much harder all of that would have been if I had been alone in the house. *shudder* Having her there really saved my sanity!
