I've got mail!

I love getting mail this time of year!

Today the postman brought to us:

-Christmas cards from grey_wonderer, the_arc5 and from Anne, marigoldg's mom, who stayed with us after Hurricane Katrina

-a package from my sister-in-law containing her fabulous homemade brownies! (Which we are eating for dessert tonight, along with Braum's French Vanilla Ice Cream.)

-a totally and completely unexpected check for $83.37! (This came from our former electric company in Mississippi. It was a co-op, and we always got an annual dividend from them at the end of the year--but we've been moved for two years! But apparently they run about two years behind with them, so this will be our last one. It was *VERY* welcome!

Well, not from Coast Electric, at any rate, as the letter indicated that it was the end of when we lived there. But, hey, it was wonderful to get it THIS year!

Yes, it certainly was out of the blue!

It was a nice card, and she seems to be doing all right! But you know, she helped me, too! I can't imagine how much harder all of that would have been if I had been alone in the house. *shudder* Having her there really saved my sanity!
