Y'all may remember, a couple of years back, a person was doing surveys and interviews in the Tolkien fandom for a book, and he interviewed me. Well, yesterday, he sent me the transcript of my interview, so I could check for any errors.

Er...22 pages of typescript.
Single spaced.

Me talking about hobbits, and LotR, and hobbits, and fic. And hobbits.

He seems very pleased with it.

But...22 pages?

Hmmmm...yeah, I know what you mean -- how can ONLY 22 pages be anywhere close to enough discussion of hobbits? ;)

Ooo! I was wondering whether he had made much progress with this project. Now I'm anxious to see if what I had to say was worth transcribing.

Just like a hobbit to keep talking about something they're passionate about! ;) He wasn't foolish enough to ask questions about the family trees was he? LOL!

Will he be sending you a copy of your interview? That would be very cool to have around! What sort of book is this? *tries to remember*

Are you able to share it? I'd love to read it. :D

You know what Bilbo would say. "22 pages is far too few to describe such excellent hobbits! I haven't explained half of them half as well as I would like and I like what I've said about most of them far less than I should." LOL

If you got it all into 22 pages then you did good.

Oh David has been working so hard on this. I couldn't do the interview because, well you know dad was so ill and his loss.

But 22 pages, that doesn't surprise me given your love for this fandom :D

Yeah, I got to do one of the interviews, and I was so excited.:) How did he send the transcript to you? Did he e-mail it or snail-mail it? Just curious. Oh, I'm so excited I can't stand it.

Knowing you, I am certain that you got plenty of good information in those 22 pages.

When was this? Because I know I got emailed about 8 months ago, but maybe I replied a little too late (with a whole bunch of rather pushy questions) because no interview for me.

But as for the 22 pages...

I am not in the least surprised. And I mean that in the most complimentary fashion possible.

Yeah, I figured not. But this looks really interesting and I'd love to see it when it's all done with! *puts on fandom scholarly glasses*

And what a compliment for your work being included!

Wow, 22 pages! That's all? :P

I remember that guy. I did the survey and answered questions by e-mail, although I wasn't too keen on it. I'm very curious to read this book when it comes out, though!

I think mine was only about 15 pages. I don't have it with me right now, but it was such fun to read it again :)
