Off to do our Christmas shopping!

Well, we are going to have lunch, and then are off to Edmund to do our shopping. (Yes, we left it very late-- we were waiting for payday!)

We made arrangements to not have to pay both our car payments this month, so most of this paycheck will be free.

In other amusing news, the dog woke us up at 4AM to go out. When we got back to bed, the DH was in a talkative mood. He has a tendency to ramble...

Among other things, he made up a cute little crack-fic LOTR/ST crossover which ended with Kirk saying to Spock, "Well, it's another damn hobbit!" about a mysterious crew member drawn to mushrooms... he never writes these things down, and I can't make it sound nearly as cute as he tells them.

He also said "Sarah Palin *is* Dick Cheney on polyjuice potion."

And he came up with a long, involved and totally impractical redecorating scheme for the master bedroom.

*grin* Married life is never boring.

Heh. No, married life is never boring. During planning for our choir cast party, someone called out that
people with names that started with N-S should "bring a sweet dish" and my darling husband called back that he had one of those in the alto section. *palm to forehead* He's such a sap. :)

LotR/ST crossovers? My, my. I like that almost as much as the "hobbits on trains" idea.

We've had Sugar for nearly sixteen years. We adopted her and her sister from the shelter after our previous dog died. Sugar and Sissy were beagle/german shepherd mixes. We lost Sissy earlier this year. Sugar's sweet with us, but she is mean as all get out to anyone else. She really hates our son being here, so we have to keep them separated, or she will eat him. I'm not joking! She's very territorial, and then after the hurricane and the move, she got a lot worse!

And in answer to your last question: Yep, I know! I have a gem!

Well, it's not like we weren't awake anyhow, after having to get up and let Sugar out. Usually he goes right back to sleep, and I lay there awake *trying* to go back to sleep. But he was in a talk-y mood. What's funny? He doesn't remember most of the conversation today...

That might be for the best. He still asks me when I'm going to write his idea for a Bill the Pony/OFC bunny he came up with several months ago-- the OFC was a pink donkey...

Alas! He will *not* write it down-- he tells me, and then says *I* ought to write it. But I can never remember it the way he tells it, and he seldom remembers it himself later. And he's naturally funny.

Yes, that's the idea *I* had! Keep a little tape recorder next to the bed with a tape in it, and just click it on when he gets going!

What a cutie! My hubby is also a sweetie, and you're right - definitely keeps things from being boring!!
