Crosspost?

OK. I'm attempting a crosspost from DW, because something's weird at LJ: any attempt to "Post an Entry" or "Edit Entry", the page is coming up blank. Actually, the page does come up-- the header's there and the page title, but no text box or anything to post with.

If this should come across at LJ, is anyone else having this trouble tonight?

I just did a quick test post which I deleted right afterward. It let me do it no problem. I only posted two words, 'test post' but it went through. I didn't use the LJ cut or post a link so it was very basic.

Very odd. Just tried on mine, and the same thing happened.
Commenting works, though, as you can see.

Apparently it's browser-linked.

I like IE. I'm *USED* to IE. I know a lot of people hate it, but I'm comfortable with it. I don't *WANT* to use another browser. And yet more and more lately, there have been bugs at websites in which the only ones affected are the people who use IE.

*mumble*grumble* If I was a conspiracy theorist, I'd suspaect a conspiracy...

Seems to be, it's linked to using IE for a browser. *sigh* I don't WANT to use a different browser-- I like IE.

That's why it didn't screw up when I posted. I use FireFox for a browser. I didn't have any trouble at all. Still, I'm sure they will sort it out. A lot of people use IE. They have to fix it.

I crosspost everything from Dreamwidth, so I hadn't noticed any isues with posting. I had issues with comments taking a while to be spit out yesterday, though.

I wonder if upgrading to IE 8 would fix it? That's what I have, and I haven't had problems posting.

I'm having a bit of trouble with the comments too. But at least I *can* comment-- even if it takes forever!

Yeah, a lot of people do! I hope it gets fixed soon. I need to edit some posts. And I need to make a community post, too. I can't do my communities from DW. *sigh*

I skimmed the comments to see what other folks were saying. I haven't had any problems so far. I use Flock or Opera because I started having so much trouble with IE and Firefox.

Found the problem, at least for me: I'm on IE8, but I had it set to display LJ in Compatability Mode. Turned that off, and it loads just fine.

LJ is indeed a little slow on the uptake today. I hope it gets better.
