Dancing with the Stars

No spoilers here: DWTS may be a lot better season than I was originally expecting...

I'm not a sports oriented person, but I really like the personality of that football player, Chad, who's paired up with Cheryl. And of course, it's going to be interesting to see how well Evan's skating ability translates to dancing. Will he be able to pull off what Kristi Yamaguchi did?

And as octogenarians go, Buzz is definitely a better dancer than Chloris was, though not nearly as funny.

I enjoyed it too. I didn't think I would this time, but I like Chad also. I also liked the sports caster. She was fun.
Oh, and I really wish they would quit giving Derick Huff all of the tall, graceful singers and give him someone he had to work hard to make look good. He's far too arrogant and I'd love to see him have to struggle for a change. He lucked out again this season. The Pussycat Doll is very good and she would do well with any of the pros.

I actually stayed up and watched the whole thing! (Can't do that very often.) My favorites were the first (football player) and last (Pamela Anderson).

LOL! Derrick does seem to luck out in the partner dept. doesn't he? He's a good teacher and a great choreographer, but he does get really glamourous partners with long legs and natural rhythm. I always root for Cheryl-- she's my fave pro, and I think that she's got a decent chance with this Chad.

I think Brook's going to work out as a replacement for Samantha, but I do kind of miss her. One of my favorite things to check out every week was Samantha's dresses! I didn't much care for the one Brook had on last night.

I enjoyed the football player a lot! It's going to be an interesting season.

It's funny, because I checked out an online forum about it ahead of time, and they were all "oh, the show's jumped the shark and I hate all these people, and OMG, Kate!" And I am thinking, well, it's not any worse or better a line-up than they've had for the past nine years, and once the dancing and music start, who cares?

I was really impressed with Chad, too, and Evan looked beautiful waltzing. Shannon Doherty was better than I expected. It's fun to watch people doing something so new and different. You can see raw talent as a dancer even when they're just starting out.

My husband always roots for Cheryl too. LOL He thinks she is adorable. I like her too. I also enjoy Max and Tony but this year Tony's partner isn't very good so he isn't likely to get far. The new guy seems nice.
I was stunned when Samantha wasn't there. I have no idea what happened. Did she quit?
I think Brooke's dress was designed to show off her chest but you're right, it was not a good dress and Brooke is normally very attractive. I thought she looked like a deer caught in the headlights most of the evening. I think she was very nervous about it all.

You can, really! I was a bit surprised at how Evan had to struggle in practice! I never realized before that they spin on the ice the opposite of the way dancers spin on the dance floor!

I do enjoy watching the dancing and music so much. I know it's supposed to be a reality show, but to me it seems much more like entertainment than most such shows.
