...that is the question.

I have to decide: the silk ribbon rosebuds I embroidered at the neckline of the dress I'm making are slightly off-kilter. So, do I try to take it out and re-do it, knowing that it very well might leave permanent marks on the black velvet, or do I leave it, and hope anyone who notices thinks I did it on purpose (it does have that asymetricality to it). I'm thinking it over. I can't proceed until I make up my mind, as my next step is putting in the bodice lining and sleeves. *sigh*

Or I could go ahead and start constructing the skirt, and put the decision off a little longer.

hmmm... i'm not one for embroidery, but if you leave it in, and keep going, would it look too off? maybe save the velvet that way? i always thought the asymetricality gave it the slaved-over hand-made look anyway. ;-)

but then again, i have my stuff made for me because sewing machines hate me. ;-)

Never decide today what you can put off until tomorrow! Make the skirt and live with the ribbon rosebuds for a while. They may "grow" on you. In any case, if you have a while to look at them you will be able to decide if they bother you enough to try to take them out. (Keep in mind that this advice is given by someone who can't sew and is still awake at 4am.)

When sewing I always spent more time undoing things then the actual sewing, lol. But I never used delicate fabrics. I hope you work things out.
