I too love a Merry with a plan! (And when is he ever without one? LOL!) Of course Frodo knew he'd had something to do with it, even if he did not know all the details. Though I'm sure if he'd *really* disapproved he'd have wormed the detail out of him! Clearly he did not much mind seeing Lotho in trouble!
