My but I am spammy today!

This afternoon, the DH and I found one way to deal with the heat: we went for a swim at the gym, and then stopped at Braums on the way home. He had a Peach Sherbert Shake and I had a Peach Sherbert Freeze.

And we decided that since Friday's payday, and also since I have a little money coming in from two DS articles, that we can afford to splurge a little and go see "Cowboys and Aliens" at the local theater. Tickets are pretty cheap there (only $4) and we can just split a drink. So we are going to the 9:45 show.

I hope that it's as much fun as it looks in the previews!

That one summer it was really hot and humid here (about what you're going through right now) I ended up keeping the tub half-full so I could pop in and out for quick soaks throughout the day. It helped a lot.

Cowboys and Aliens is coming out already? Hm... I was going to go see Captain America, but maybe I'll see that one instead. Or heck, maybe I should just go crazy and do a double feature. :D

It was lots of fun! Definitely worth $4, and definitely worth staying up to midnight.

The previews were disappointing. I only saw one upcoming movie that I *might* be interested in seeing. Not one of the others looked at all appealing.

It was fun. The movie was as noisy and gory as the previews indicated, but not so much so that I couldn't enjoy it.

I read a story, oh,a ges ago where the Fellowship try to beat the heat by going to the water-caverns Minas Tirith stores its water in. Don't think they actually swam, but even they knew (in fic form at least) that being in a cool dark place around water was a Good Idea.

How was the movie? I skipped it to see Harry Potter again, but may try to see it if I can save the money up.
