Wow, what a unique dress! I squeed when I saw the Unicorn in Captivity there (I have a print of it hanging on my wall lol) :)

Yes, I had a lot of fun making that dress, although it was a lot of work, too. I made the pattern for the applique by tracing a line drawing of the tapestry, enlarging it, and the simplifying the various elements. There are six parts to it: the "grass", the top fence, the bottom fence, the tree trunk, the tree foliage, and the bottom fence. I ironed it on first, and then outlined it by hand with a pin-stitch.

My niece is something, isn't she? She's just as sweet as she looks, too!

Thanks. It's comfortable, too! And fully lined, so I don't have to wear a slip, and long enough that I can wear knee-highs instead of panty-hose.

Now, I have seen the dress completely. The picture that came with the house shots only showed the top half. It is beautiful and you did a lovely job on it. Looks like a beautiful wedding. Everyone looks splendid.

It was a nice wedding. My niece is so beautiful, and I think her new husband will make her very happy.

I am pretty proud of it. I nit-pick it a little, but it's all stuff no one but me will ever notice, and overall, I am more than pleased at how it came out.
