This being the fifth Sunday of the month, the youth were in charge of the service, the theme today being "I was blind but now I see". This was the closing hymn:

During the last verse all the congregation had candles which were lit. It was very moving.

Wow, haven't heard that since *I* was in youth choir. Good song--and reminds me of Kurt Kaiser's "Pass It On."

I love that song! I used to listen to Kathy Triccoli's cover way back when I was stationed in Italy. Got me through some tough times. Thanks for sharing!

Youth service on each fifth Sunday? What a brilliant idea! I'm going to share that. Our emphasis for this Lent has been God's Light. I haven't heard this song before so I'm going to listen to it at lunch.

My daughter, Meg, just started at the end of January as the Youth & Young Adult Coordinator of a local church. I told her of your 5th Sunday custom and she loved it. Today she presented the idea to the pastor and he said yes! So starting with the next one, June 29th, the kids will be doing the service. She is so excited about it, and particularly asked me to make sure to thank you for the idea.
