I'm Doomed

dreamflowerI'm writing this on my DH's laptop, because our big HP desktop froze up this morning. All the usual things didn't work, such as cut off the power and cut back on, so...
I finally got it where I could try "System Restore" but that just kept running me around in circles, so...
I tried "System Recovery" and it *seemed* to work at first, though I have a sinking feeling I have now lost all our files (eeeeeegggghhhh!!!!) which ( I know, I know ) were not backed up,because I had not yet figured out how, so....
Now it's telling me "Welcome to Microsoft Windows" and push next, and I can't get the damned mouse to work, so...
Now when DH gets home from work, he's not going to be a very happy camper, so...
I think I'm doomed.
At least I sent Marigold my Challenge 12 last week.
