Date night at Barnes & Noble

I got my last real paycheck from Michael's today, and the DH got paid yesterday, so we decided to go out to eat. We went to Logan's Roadhouse, and as we finished up the meal, hubby asks "Do you want to go to a movie or Barnes & Noble?" Silly question!

We came away with five CDs: three bargain bin Gregorian chant, the Celtic Woman CD from the TV special, and my best pick, the new Medieval Baebes CD. And I picked up a new Polymer Clay book, a Clotilde's Sewing Magazine, and *ta-da* a $19.98 Calligraphy book/set from the remainder table, at 75% off, plus an extra 10% with my member card--$4.49! The fact that I already have that set is irrelevant--the pen holder, nibs, ink and colors would run to more than that!! And you can *never* have too many pens...trust me, LOL!

I saw that calligraphy book/set at Barnes and Noble when I stopped there about a week ago! I would have bought it if it were a little cheaper :P

Ooh! That sounds like a very good bargain. Here shops close at 9pm at the latest -10pom if you`re lucky but we have this music store that`s open until midnight Friday and Saturday and many are the times I`ve ventured in there after a movie or before going to a bar or something, lol. :)

Our B&N closes at 10 on weeknights, but on weekends it's open to 11. Most all the rest of the stores close at either 9 or 10, except for Super Wal-Mart, which is open 24/7.

You should give it another shot. I've been doing it for years, and I love it. It just needs practice.

I love Gregorian chant and Medieval/Renaissance music almost as well as I do Celtic music. I do enjoy almost all kinds of music, but if I buy any, it's likely to be one of those. My husband also enjoys Native American music, but he likes the others I mentioned as well.
