You are watching Landscaper's Challenge, and they mention the names of some plants, and all you can think of is "Wouldn't those make good hobbit names?" Photinia Boffin, Euphorbia Bracegirdle, Calla Brandybuck?

Hey, consider it research for your stories. It's not an obsession, it's a hobby. Just keep saying that over and over and over until someone you know believes it.

It would. Flowers make beautiful names.

*lol*
And I thought *I* were hopeless! Since I started reading LotR in february 2003, I haven't stopped again!
That reminds me of another saying, which probably fits quite well here: "I do not suffer from LotR-obsession - I enjoy every minute of it." And that is surely true for all of us!

Oh yes, it is a *very big* shame. And I bear it with great pride *grin from ear to ear*

I haven't seen T-shirts with this, but I know a shop where they print our own photos on T-shirts, so I suppose you could look for such a shop and ask them to print you this saying on a T-shirt. Maybe I should do the same, it would be fun! And my friends already knew I'm a bit insane ;-)

LOL, I do that too! Or I'll think, "Hm, is that something Sam would have planted at Bag End?" I'll also go to garden websites, or look up sites about birds (since most of the male hobbits, at least in the working class have bird names), to find more hobbit names also.

You should know that: Peregrin (falcon)

Hm, I'd have to go through the book to find any others, if there are any, now I think of it, lol. But oh well, the lasses are named after the flowers, so it's only appropriate the lads be named after birds, don't you think?
