We have a winner...
Dec. 2nd, 2005 07:20 pmSo, "Dreamflower's Mathom-house" won the poll.
Today has been really wierd. First of all, cable was out most of the day, so I couldn't get online. I worked on moving some stuff from my sewing/craft room into the guest room, because we are going to have to do work in there. Apparently it flooded one time too many, and we now have black mold in there.
I worked on a cloak--grey, so I can wear my Lothlorien brooch with it. I used the Folkwear Book of Ethnic Clothing pattern for a burnoose. It was really easy to make and took less than two hours except for hemming, which I'll probably do in the morning.
Then I had to run errands. Traffic is ridiculous.
The mortgage co. called--they will *finally* be sending us the first third of our insurance money. It's ridiculous--I paid extra to send them the check and paperwork overnight express, on their assurance that the money would be sent back right away the same way. The check will go in the mail *Monday*--two full weeks *after* they had us send it to them. *sheesh* At least the latest debris pile in front of the house got picked up today.
I probably won't be online much this weekend. I'm going to a potluck SCA persona party at our seneschal's house tomorrow, and Sunday we're trying to get back in the church habit. But I am so looking forward to the new Challenge stories!
Now that I've got a paid LJ, I have to figure out how to do all the other cool stuff, like icons and things like that.
