The mystery of the missing keys solved
Sep. 10th, 2011 11:55 pmI did not misplace them. I had put them right where I usually do when I have to go to work the next day: on the corner of the dining room table with other things I take to work, like my time card, my pens and my box cutter.
But apparently the DH accidentally picked them up with his own keys and drove off to work without realizing he had both sets of keys. I can't call him at work anyway, because he's not allowed to keep his phone with him at work, and besides he could not have come back home to give them to me anyhow, since he works 55 miles away in Tulsa.
After frantic searching, I realized what had happened. I called my boss, and she arranged for someone to pick me up and bring me to work. I had time before work to walk a few blocks to the pharmacy and back (one of my errands). And luckily, my son dropped in to the store when *he* got off work, and agreed to pick me up and bring me home-- otherwise my boss was going to have someone take me home.
I was exhausted. I do walk to the pharmacy sometimes-- but not when I also have to go to work that day!
The DH just now called to let me know he's on the way home-- worried that I'd be mad because he had my keys. He didn't realize what he'd done until he was clocking out himself, LOL! I was just glad that I was right and that he had them and they weren't off in the Twilight Zone somewhere.
