Date: 2014-05-13 01:32 pm (UTC)I confess, I always dread when they get to the semi-final stage most seasons, because by that stage nearly everyone who is left is a favorite and deserves to be in the finals.
I honestly thought it would be one certain couple, and was shocked when I saw they were safe. But that couple has improved a lot the last couple of weeks, and the celeb has a large fanbase.

Date: 2014-05-13 05:55 pm (UTC)I've seen seasons in which a celeb who was talented got eliminated unexpectedly early, but I don't recall one in which the finalists were not all really good! And I've seen seasons in which they have done things with the judging that pretty much assures that.
And a lot of times I think it also depends not only on the popularity of the celebs, but also of the pros. I can think of past seasons in which I voted more because of the pro than of a celebrity I had not really ever heard of!
