Some of you may recall that a few years back, mariole posted a wonderful story called Bad Step. If you haven't read it, and you are at all a fan of Sam h/c, it's a story in which Sam is seriously injured in an accident, pre-Quest, and must convalesce at Bag End.

Well, another friend of mine, kgreen20 has (with Mariole's permission) written a sweet little gapfiller for the story in which Merry and Pippin pay a visit to the recovering Sam! It's called, appropriately enough, Merry and Pippin's Visit

Yes, K. got her permission, and even used an idea from her in the story!

I wish I could help kgreen20 with her dilemma! She said she wants to friend me, but she says: "Whenever I click on 'Add user as a friend,' I get this message, 'This feature is available only for Paid Account Level users.' Since my account is free, that leaves me out. I can be friended by others, but I can't friend anyone."

I can't figure out why that should be so. What's the use of LJ, free or paid, if you can't friend folks? According to her profile page she's friended you and Lindahoyland, but she doesn't seem to know how it happened, or how to make it happen for anyone else. Bizarre!

That's very odd. I had free before I had paid, and never had a problem adding friends.

I don't know how to help her either. I wish I knew how that was happening.
