Belated birthday thanks!

I'm finally getting enough time to respond with thanks to all my friends for the lovely birthday greetings!

I had a nice quiet b'day, as I had to work the day before and the day after. I spent some of it putting up our decorations for the Fourth, and watched TV. The DH brought home take-out for supper, but we were planning to celebrate on the weekend, because payday. I also had to work on the Fourth, but it wasn't a long shift. The DH took some days of leave, and so we've spent the last four days doing "couple" stuff, some of it errands and necessary chores and some of it fun stuff; but I haven't had a lot of computer time.

On Saturday we went into Stillwater. Alas, the library was closed for the holiday, as was a shop we had hoped to check out; however, the DH took me to JoAnns so I could pick out something I wanted for a gift. (I got some nice watercolor pencils and a book on Zentangle.) Then we had supper at Olive Garden--I had Portabella Ravioli, and we also shared a White Chocolate Raspberry cheesecake for dessert. Sunday we went to church and then out to lunch at Boomerangs.

But anyway, I finally got the chance to respond to all my wonderful birthday greetings:

*grin* It's been fun. He's back to work tomorrow, and I'm back to work on Thursday.

I *LOVE* Olive Garden! The only thing is, the one at Stillwater doesn't have the comfy rolling chairs like all the others do. :(

But the food was great, and so was our server!

This isn't the first time I've thought someone was on my flist and discovered they weren't! Ever since LJ made it where you have to click on the list to see everyone, I have totally lost track of who's on there; my list is pretty long and I almost never unfriend anyone (usually only if they delete their LJ, or if I haven't seen them in a few years). But when you are in a lot of the same comms and people comment a lot, it sometimes seems they already are on your flist, LOL!

Glad you've had some fun days with "couple stuff" and other things you just wanted to do. :-) The Zentangle stuff looks interesting. :-D

The Zentangle really is very fun! It's kind of a take on a lot of what goes on with illuminating--creating patterns and such, but it's more informal and relaxing.
