Here's my yesterday. (cross-posted from [livejournal.com profile] monthlydiaryday)

5AM: Woke up, as I have to be at work early today. Showered and dressed, fed the cat, got some applesauce and milk for breakfast, and checked my email and my flist while I eat. Then I read a little bit of fic. The DH woke up at abut 6:30 and drove me to work at a quarter till.

7AM: The truck pulled in at the same time I did. I clocked in, checked next week's schedule (darn! I have to work both days next weekend!) At least I only have Tues. and Thurs. otherwise. Then I get some water and go see what's on the truck. Thank goodness my co-worker J. was there today; last week he was out due to some dentistry, and if had to do the truck on my own. It was a nightmare! I know what to do with all the market stuff, but I have no clue about what goes where for the fountain and grill side, and all their stuff comes on the same truck. Anyhow, today I don't have that problem today. While J. works on the bunkers with all the dry goods, I start checking in the bakery items: bread, cookies, cakes, muffins, buns, etc. we're starting to get customers, so I'm frequently interrupted. Still, I finally finish. After my break, I start checking the dates out in the market. When I finish that I start putting out produce. A really amusing thing happened back at the drive-thru: when one of the girls opened the window to hand out their order to a car, a kitten jumped in through the window and escaped into the back storage area, where it hid underneath the shelves. They finally got it out--it was a cute little yellow and white kitty with a blue collar. One of the other girls said she thought she knew who it belonged to, so that problem was easily solved.

1PM: The DH picked me up from work and I rested a little while. Then I typed up a report for him on my computer, as we haven't yet figured out how to hook his tablet up to the printer, and also I was able to beta it for spelling/grammar as well. The report is for a free lance consulting job he's doing for a previous employer, and we hope it will be the first of several for him. Then I caught up on LJ and email and so forth.

5:30PM: Cooked supper (sautéed sirloin tips, baked potatoes and salad). We watched the news, and went to clean up the kitchen and dishes, and the sink was backing up big time. DH went out to Dollar General to pick up some Liquid Plumber, which fortunately did the trick. Then we watched "Once Upon a Time". We were taping it, but we were only about a half-hour off of the actual time while watching it. I have mixed feelings about this whole "Frozen" storyline; in early seasons of OUaT, the "wink and nod" to Disney was a lot more subtle, but over time it's grown more and more blatant, which is annoying; I liked it better when the viewer had to think a little to spot the references. And yet I find it very interesting what they are doing with Elsa and this new character, and I like what they are doing with Regina this year, too. Oh well.

9PM: Got ready for bed and turned in early. I read on my iPad for a while--some old entries on [livejournal.com profile] fanficrants from a few years back before I started following it. It's amusing, and I learn about fandoms that I'm not really into. But complaints about typos, grammar and Mary Sue never change...

Can I ask a silly question? What do you buy to make sirloin steak tips and how do you make them? I love them but they're hard to find around here, plus I think homemade is usually so much better than restaurant.

Thanks,
Febobe :)
