Weird dreams

I had such a strange dream last night. It woke me up feeling very unpleasant, yet with the notion at first that the dream might make a fic; of course that's rarely true, since most dreams make no sense once you start thinking about them. And it wasn't even LotR related. I can scarcely remember much of it now, but I do think I may have been watching too many Buffy episodes lately, as well as too much news. The main things I recall are that Spike was in it, and George Stephanopoulos, something about missing paychecks and Bush was still president...

I watch Good Morning, America nearly every morning, and This Week on most Sundays that I don't have to work. So I guess the GMA crew is kind of in my head more than I knew. There was another reporter in the dream, too, one of the women. I know it wasn't Robin Roberts, and I'm pretty sure it wasn't Lara Spencer, but I can't recall who it was now.

By the time I woke up, it was feeling like a nightmare, or at least one of those dreams that leaves you feeling unsettled. And it was pretty much the Bush parts that did it. I seem to recall that whoever was my POV (it wasn't me, but it was, if you know what I mean? I am often someone else in my dreams.) was yelling at him when I woke up.

Well, I've been watching a lot of Buffy lately. And I've been feeling really frustrated with the political news, though what the link between the two may be I've no idea.

Dang, I've had strange dreams but never with Spike, George and GWB!

This scenario sounds like Spike's probably pissed at getting shortchanged on a check that GWB promised him for a job only Spike could handle and George S had to deliver the bad news. Buffy probably had to calm the Spike down a bit with a few judicious "threats" and -hopefully- all turns out well.

What did you eat that evening? The last time my M-i-L ate spaghetti, she dreamt about a giant meatball chasing her!

LOL! I think at some point Spike had kidnapped George S. and another reporter at the request of George B., with instructions to turn them into vampires too, but I am not absolutely certain about that part.

Been binging on Buffy lately and just got to the eps which were right after Spike got chipped and he's learning to deal with it, and the Scoobies are all feeling sorry for him but still don't like him.

The scene where he first realized what had happened to him when he tried to bite Willow and couldn't were hilarious. Alyson Hanigan and James Marsters played it so perfectly, I had tears of laughter rolling down my face! Spike in this part is pathetic and yet menacing, whiny yet still snarky, and he manages to be all of these at the same time, without losing that edge. Pure comic genius!

I loved Marsten in Torchwood and that fight scene was priceless. And you get Spike so well :D I think Spike is becoming a favorite :D

I remember that Spike/Willow scene; it was terrific. I loved the Buffy series; and most of the Buffy/Spike relationship, and Spike's great last stand at the end...

Yucky nightmare! But if there's Spike it means there is a Hellmouth, and if there is a Hellmouth, than GWB must be president. Glad you're out of that nightmare, and all of us.

I know I've been feeling really frustrated with politics lately, feeling as though we've lost nearly all we gained in the last few years. Maybe that's part of it.

Though I still don't get the connection with Buffy.

If we are trading dreams, I dreamed I was a spy the other night. I had a brief case that sprayed some sort of gas that made people just fall over. (I was never clear if it killed them or knocked them out.) Anyway, I gassed this man and woman who were trying to steal my briefcase and then I ran outside to some tables, like a cafe only very long tables all in a row. A giant came to the table and was trying to take my briefcase, yes a giant as in "Jack and the Bean Stalk" and without thinking, I sprayed him. Then I noticed he was falling toward me and I got on the table and began to run, trying to get out of the way before he fell on me and my briefcase. I could see his shadow covering me as I ran, clutching the briefcase. Then I woke up.
