Rec-Go-Round: Rec me one story you've written (preferably fan fiction, but if you've not written any fanfic, then you can rec an original piece instead) that you're proud of, any genre, here on my LJ.

Then go forth and ask the same in yours.

ETA: poems are also good. Or essays.

I'm *hoping*, of course, for hobbitfic I've never read before. But if it's Elves, Dwarves or Men, or original fic, or fic in another fandom, I'll give it a look-see as well.

Since you've read all of my LotR, here's a link to one of the best of my Harry Potter stories:

Title: The Music of a Soul
Rating: PG for angsty darkness
Summary: A one-shot in which Sirius learns first hand of the power of the Dementors in his first few weeks at Azkaban.

I've been rereading my journal, and I'd forgotten about this, but it's not half bad. Set after The Ringbearer and the Rose.

Eum I am not sure what hobbity stories you read of me :c) I only have three of them LOL. I know you like Bilbo, so hmmm how about

Of
Flustering and Blustering
? I loved writing Bilbo.

If not, I am very proud of my most recent ficlet, Eulogy for a lost companion, but it isn't up yet.

I'm fond of my fic Occlumency. (http://community.livejournal.com/7spells/85409.html#cutid1) I apologize that it's not LOTR, but I think it is my best work yet. It is Harry Potter bookverse, Regulus/Bellatrix. I hope you like it.

*shrugs* Think you've read all the LotR fic I've written - and mercifully, the incredibly bad Star Trek fic I wrote in high school and college was lost in my first move from Florida to Massachuestts.

Really interesting meme!

I don't *think* you read my latest, so here's the link:

Non-slash, rated G, hobbits, etc etc

Oh, my yes, the Trek fic was bad. *hangs head, whispers* It was a Mary Sue.

And regarding Sam and the appendectomy... *sighs* That cranky bitch Serinde, being the strong-willed person that she is is flat-out refusing to talk to me any more about that time line at the moment. Seems she'd rather hang out in the AU where she's not a grieving widow. *sighs more*

I think you have read all my LOTR stories as well, since you’re pretty in tune with SOA.

So, here is a Muppet/X-Files crossover (action-adventure/humor) that I think has stood the test of time well. Very, very G-rated:

I'm not sure. I think that it is, although Sirius/Bellatrix and Regulus/Sirius seem to be more so. It's my favourite pairing, however.

You got a new layout for your LJ! (either that or I am hopelessly out of touch!)

Hmmm... I have NO idea how much of my stuff you've read, so I am going to gamble and find one of my Harem pieces. Believe it or not, I did write several that were G or PG.

Title: Baby Talk
http://www.bagendwest.net/BabyTalk.htm
Rating: PG
Summary: Written for a fellow haremite in the last two weeks of her first pregnancy.

I should preface this post by also providing this link - http://www.bagendwest.net/UmmSorryIndex.htm - probably the funniest thing I ever wrote - and it explains how the above story came about.

I don't know if you've read this or not!

Coming Home
A story about young Frodo just coming to Bag End.

Can you rec me one of yours in a comment? I don't have time to get too many recs that I don't have time to read, but I'd love to see yours. :)

Was reading everyone's posts and saw the words, 'probably the funniest thing I ever wrote' and so I bookmarked it to read over the weekend. I would read tonight if it weren't for my evil job and being on time and awake for that nonsense. LOL

Your Miss Piggy story is adorable. I'm sure he *did* mean it as a compliment!

The crossover combination was actually a response to a challenge... written back when I was young and single and jobless, so had time to do challenges. :)
