This and that
Apr. 19th, 2006 07:39 amWell, I have been tagged for the "Wierd Things" meme by
gryffinjack. I don't know how wierd these are, but:
Once you are tagged you MUST write a blog entry about your 6 weird habits/things as well as state this rule clearly. In the end, you need to choose the next six people to be tagged and list their names.
1. I always fold my laundry, especially my linens, in a very particular way. If they are not folded just so it drives me nuts.
2. I am extremely susceptible to earworms. If I am not actually listening to real music, *something* will be playing in my head at all times.
3. Unless someone is with me, I *always* read when I eat.
4. With two exceptions, I have read no non-LotR-related fiction for over two years--this from someone who previously devoured up to eight or ten novels a week ever since she learned to read. My non-fiction reading however, has greatly expanded. (The exceptions were the new Harry Potter, and re-reading the Narnia books).
5. I hate making phone calls to people. When I call, I always hope they will be out and I can leave a message. But I will talk for ages if they call me.
6. I can't stand not having something to do. I always take something to work on whenever I leave the house, in case I have to wait for a few minutes somewhere. I keep a little notebook in my purse, and will either doodle or write fic when I have to stand in line at the bank or the grocery store.
I think almost everyone on my flist has already been tagged by now, so just if you haven't done this and you want to do so--then do, LOL!
I didn't realize until
periantari mentioned it last night, but I have not really updated in ages. I've read and commented, so I've been around--but sorry if anyone's been worried. It's just nothing earth-shaking going on with me right now.
Oh, and I've updated my fic "Consequences of a Fall" at Stories of Arda:

Date: 2006-04-19 10:19 pm (UTC)3. Of course. That’s the advantage to dining alone.
5. I have to compose a little pep talk/preformed message in my head for what I’m going to say on people’s answering machines. Then i’m much more prepared to talk -- even if they do answer the phone.

5. I'll talk if they answer, but I just really dislike *initiating* a call.

Date: 2006-04-20 12:17 am (UTC)You just sound like a person who's very organized with her life--I admire that from afar. ;-)
Once upon a time, in a galaxy far, far away, I used to share trait #1, having worked as a maid in a hotel just before enlisting in the Navy. We had to fold the towels a certain way, and so it carried over into my personal life for over 15 yrs. I purposely broke myself of that not too long ago. (I have a *true* haunted tale to tell about that hotel, too!)
Take care,
T
