Someone shared this with my husband, and he shared it with me. I found it touching and thought-provoking, and thought I would share it with all of you as my Lent post today.
I saw this on facebook and had tears in my eyes, remembering my mother who died of Alzheimer's more than fifteen years ago. I know I was short with her at times, and I've always felt that I abrogated my responsibilities toward her because I wasn't able to care for her. I saw that she was well cared for, I did the best I could for her, but it could never be enough for someone who would have done anything for me.
Love - it's such an amazing source of power and sorrow.
