Just finished typing in my notes. Yesterday was rather quiet and uneventful:

7:15AM--Woke up. Made breakfast (sausage, toast and eggs for the DH, a strawberry/banana smoothie for me), watched "Good Morning America" and petted the cat.

Rest of the day behind the cut:

9AM--Got dressed, started laundry, tidied the living room, cleaned up the kitchen, etc. Spent most of the morning working on a fanfic I am co-writing with [livejournal.com profile] kgreen20. It's kind of fun, LotR, but not my usual genre (modern people fall into Middle-earth). We are finally beginning to make some progress.

11:45PM--Had simple lunch of sandwiches, homemade cole slaw (left over from the night before) and cottage cheese, while we watched some how-to gardening videos on YouTube. I love that we can watch YouTube on our new TV, so that we can see the cool videos together. After lunch, we went out on a couple of errands. I went by Braum's to check my schedule, and pick up some potatoes and carrots. (I'm planning a roast tomorrow). Then we went to Atwoods and picked up some soil for the garden; we planned to pick up some edging, but they had discontinued carrying the kind we wanted this year.

1PM--Got home. While the DH was unloading the bags of dirt, I planted out some flower seedlings I had started in the house: Shasta daisies, coreopsis and nasturtiums. They are still a bit small for planting out, but I needed more space on the window sills for my tomatoes and sweet potatoes.

After I finished the gardening, I came in and painted some rocks to put out later. I finished a paver I was painting to add to our walkway. I forgot to take a picture of that, but here are some pics of the ones I painted today:

The larger ones all fit in the palm of my hand, which gives you a bit of an idea of the smaller ones' sizes. I'm not quite done with the little "landscape" stone. I have several others to work on, and a few from previous years I need to touch up. (They stand up fairly well to weather and so on when properly sealed, but after a few years they do fade.)

Put my paints away about 4:30, and went to sit down in my recliner to do some crocheting. Unfortunately the cat had other ideas, and decided to claim my lap, so I watched some more YouTube. About 5:30 I went in to make supper. The DH had requested a "breakfast supper" so I made pancakes, bacon and scrambled eggs.

After supper the DH channel surfed and I sat in my chair and read some fanfic on my iPad. It was a really good Harry Dresden/BtVS crossover and was actually complete!
The DH fell asleep in his chair, so I swiped the remote and turned on some funny animal videos until about 10:30. He woke up so we got ready for bed, turned in around 11.

So that was my day.
