Political stuff behind the cut, for courtesy's sake. I don't wish to offend any friends who disagree with me:

Just finished watching Hilary's speech. I loved it--what a contrast to last week and Trump's speech. But the highlight for me was when she quoted what's called "John Wesley's Rule":

Do all the good you can, By all the means you can, In all the ways you can, In all the places you can, At all the times you can, To all the people you can, As long as ever you can. —attributed to John Wesley

This is why I'm a Methodist. And Hilary was raised as a Methodist.

Watching the Republicans last week was so frustrating; they made me SO ANGRY! This week has been so very different. I am very much more hopeful this Friday than I was last Friday.

Maybe she can put Donald Trump behind us.

There were other great speeches this week. If you missed them, you might want to see if you can find the speeches by Michelle Obama, Elizabeth Warren, Joe Biden and President Obama.

Also, the Democrat's music was much cooler.

I absolutely love the story about the Muslim father of the guy who had been killed in Iraq challenging Trump to read the Constitution...

Unfortunately, I really didn't pull it together enough to watch anything much of the convention. I knew I couldn't watch the Republican one or I would get too angry/scared. But I had wanted to see parts of the Democrat one. I just didn't get around to it at all.
