dreamflowerSo, this evening, the DH suggested we go out to McAllister's for supper, which I didn't expect, since we are going out tomorrow for Mother's Day with my mom. I just thought we'd eat, and then pop in the grocery store for milk on the way home. Instead, while we were eating, he asked if I maybe wanted to drive over to the mall.
We haven't *been* to the mall since Katrina, so I agreed. A new bookstore has opened, a Border's Express--it's little, and doesn't have the selection of a Barnes & Noble, or even of a Books-a-Million, but nevertheless, I found a new calligraphy book, a new craft book, and a new Threads magazine. And the DH bought me a beautiful unicorn night light--it's crystal and gold, really pretty!
Then we stopped at Winn Dixie on the way home, and in addition to milk I got this really cute eeny-weeny little watermelon--just right for two people!! I love watermelon, but we hardly ever buy it anymore, because the two of us can't eat a whole one--but this is just perfect!
But the upshot is that we were gone all evening, so I didn't get to work on a certain hobbity project or on fic tonight.
Only eleven more days until the Barnes & Nobles re-opens.
