Cable finally explained why I keep getting knocked off the internet. Apparently there are about 200 feet of some kind of line that is supposed to go the box, which seems to be missing. The tech said it would take 7 or 8 days to get it fixed, and that I would likely be experiencing some more of these "delightful" interruptions.

One of which started last night, and didn't go away until a few minutes ago. *sigh*

Just saying; so if I don't post or comment in a timely fashion, you will know why.

Well that stinks. We had such issues with our cable earlier in the year, such a pain. Hope it gets fixed soon!

200... feet? How could they not have noticed before that there were 200 feet of line missing?? Glad you got an explanation, at least, and that it can be fixed!

My son's internet has been giving him trouble all this week too and they are supposed to send someone out to check his line. His starts kicking off about 9 or 10pm. During the day he is fine with his connection but after about 9pm he can't seem to stay on line more than about three minutes before getting knocked off. I hope they fix your internet troubles soon. No one should be without internet! It should be a law.
