I got an answer to an email I sent to ansothehobbit last night, and since she said she didn't mind, I thought I would share it:

"Hullo again!

I was a bit quick with my response to your email. I should probably tell
someone why I deleted everything: My depression decided to hit with great
force yesterday. It has been lurking but it appears it finally had enough of
that and plunged down on me, probably as a reaction to all the insecurity in
my life. I deleted my LJs because I don't understand why I should keep
anything I can't use any more. I miss you and the others but I never get to
read flist or stories or post what I write myself. I sound like a broken
record but I don't know when I will get proper internet access again. There
are three new chapters of "Crickhollow" just waiting to be posted but I
can't do it due to security issues at work. It's true that saying from
Stargate that i quoted in a post not long ago: I really don't know what to
do with myself and neither does anyone else (as in the hospital and future
work).

You may use this information as you wish, whether you'd like to tell anyone
else or just keep it to yourself."

She had also indicated to me in a previous email that she would be able to sort of keep up with folks *that* way, so if you *have* her email addy, I am sure that she would be glad to hear from you. I hope she will soon be able to solve her internet access problem, and will undelete, but as most of you who have her friended know, that may not soon be possible. Poor kid, she's really had a long run of rotten luck.

I don't think I have her email address, I think it was one that got wiped out when my last account crashed and burned. I wonder if you'd be able to forward for me?

I really did have a suspicion her deletion was due to her lack of access; I was just sorry to hear that her depression was made worse by that. 8-( I do hope she'll be able to come back to us soon!

Thanks for posting this, I've been worried about her. That blasted depression just never seems to ease up on her for very long. I hope that things get better for her soon, internet connection and job and emotions.

Oh how I hate to hear about someone so sweet being so depressed that they do something like this. I knew things were difficult for her, but I'd hoped she'd be able to get through it without the depression drop-kicking her like this. Let her know I'm thinking of her and looking forward to a day when she can return to us.
