I wanna play too!
Oct. 22nd, 2004 12:36 pmAll right, it seems everybody else is jumping on this bandwagon, so I'll take the plunge too!
1. What is/are your favorite(s) fic by me?
2. What is/are your favorite(s) series by me?
3. What is/are your favorite(s) chararacters that I write?
4. What is/are the characters or situations you wish I'd try writing some time that I've never attempted?
5. What is/are the characters or situations I've written that you wish I'd write more often?
6. What do you like about my writing?
7. What was the first fic by me that you read?
8. What canon character have you enjoyed the most as I write him/her/it?
9. What original character (if any) from me have you enjoyed the most?
Now we'll see!

Date: 2004-10-26 05:41 pm (UTC)1. A New Reckoning, I think.
2. LOTR
3. A toss-up between Merry and Frodo
4. I would like to see your writing ability on a story of the early days of hobbits.
5. I would like to see a little of the further adventures of Menelcar, ir at least a return visit by him to the Shire after the War.
6. Oh my. Does *everything* sound OK? More specificity? Um, the 'voice' for each person sounds 'right', the language as well. I can see these stories as continuations of Tolkien's story as a result. Even in the few instances where you do not follow canon, the story reads so well, it is possible to ignore the differences and, and for me, they are just an alternative, much like Tolkien's own differences in versions as he developed the story. No slash, no male pregnancy and all those other variations not appropriate to Tolkien's world as developed by him.
7. I think it was A Conspiracy of Hobbits.
8. Merry. I like how responsible you make him, so unlike PJ's buffoonish interpretation.
9. This is difficult indeed. Does Paladin count? I really like him. Or Menelcar for humans. Though Targon I liked as well. Difficult.
