gayalondiel’s “Yuletide Tales”--a group story from Christmas 2004. While the recounting takes place on the Quest, the flashback to Gimli’s story takes place in SR 1400, so I have chosen to put the link here. (It is AU to “my” Universe.) There are a number of other nicely told tales in the story by several other very talented authors.
