Dinner at Red Lobster was yummy! The DH had the steak with shrimp and lobster combo; I had the parmesan crusted tilapia-- Oh, golly, was it good! Piping hot, and I had baked potato and broccoli for my sides. I LOVE their baked potatoes, and the broccoli was just right, not over or under- cooked the way it often is in restaurants. Then the two of us split a warm chocolate lava chocolate chip cookie (a giant chocolate chip cookie filled with melted chocolate and topped with ice cream. Way too much for one person, but just right for two.)

Then it was off to see the new Harry Potter. The theater was crammed with people, but I managed to snag us a couple of decent seats while the DH got our cokes. Good heavens! He paid $11 bucks for two of them.

However, both of us agreed that the 3-D effects were much better in this than they were in "Avatar", which was the last 3-D movie we'd seen. They were more subtle-- there was depth without making us flinch at the perception of things flying out the screen at us, and any zipping and zooming seemed an actual part of the story and not just thrown in to impress. It seemed an enhancement rather than a gimmick. Maybe now that it's becoming more common it's going to be used that way more. It gives me hope for The Hobbit being in 3-D.
