mariole posted a wonderful story called Bad Step. If you haven't read it, and you are at all a fan of Sam h/c, it's a story in which Sam is seriously injured in an accident, pre-Quest, and must convalesce at Bag End.
Well, another friend of mine,kgreen20 has (with Mariole's permission) written a sweet little gapfiller for the story in which Merry and Pippin pay a visit to the recovering Sam! It's called, appropriately enough, Merry and Pippin's Visit
