Here be some picspam of my yard:

The first three pics are of the climbing roses on our front porch. *ALL* of them bloomed *yesterday* at one time!

These aren't actually mine, but my neighbor's, but they are growing right next to my driveway...

These last two are at the side of our house by the driveway. There are loads more blooms on the plants, too!

Thank you [livejournal.com profile] danachan for helping me post them!

Those are really pretty. I especially like the irises. I can't wait tell it decides to stay warm enough here for all the flowers.

Did you know, there are about six or eight different colors of irises? They were my mom's favorite flower and she had at least one of each color. One of my biggest regrets is that, when my dad moved out of the house after she died, I didn't slip into the back yard and dig up those plants. I keep telling myself that one of these days I'm going to have irises as nice as hers were.

Beautiful! My roses don't come around until a month or so from now. But I was pleasantly surprised by irises this year (I forgot I'd planted them!)...

What a nice surprise! Yeah, our place came with a rose bush, which I thought was dead, but suddenly bloomed scarlet roses one day.

*thinks about still snow covered rhododentron in Mr and Mrs B's garden and my one and only little pot at my own balcony*

I want flowers! These are lovely, Dreamflower! It makes me want to rush home to my tiny balcony and fill it up with flowers too. Thanks for sharing!

Down south where I live it's well into spring already but Norway is a very loooong country and up north it's about a month behind the south when it comes to weather conditions. In the north spring comes suddenly, lasts a very little time and then there is a short summer before it gets colder. Down south we have a good long spring and if it's warm like last year we also have a decent summer of about two months at least.

Ohhh pretty!

I love irises, they get so tall and look so exotic. They remind me of orchids but without the fuss.
