yay! Okay, I printed it out and it was a great bedtime story for me! I have to say that I rather enjoyed hobbits crying at their sentence and the King sort-of, sort-of clearly feeling a bit sorry for them and yet the sentence was just perfect for them and very just and yet also stern. :-) Oh, yes, I really enjoyed that chapter muchly! :-)

It didn't seem to me that hobbits could respond any other way to their sentence--being reminded that they could *never* return home, even after they had served their time would be hard. And of course, Eomer, being a Good Guy, would feel sorry for them, even knowing that they deserved what they got.

I'd been hoping people would like their sentences. I'd had Cado's in the back of my head for a long time--he had three possible fates when they set out from the Shire, and this was the best one! (He did not fare too well in the other two, LOL!)

Oh, I have been looking forward to this. I am still working my way through the challenge stories one or two a night since I didn't do any reading over the weekend. But I have this bookmarked and plan to read it "as soon as maybe" to quote a wizard. Can't wait to see what you have cooked up!
