My PASSPORT came!!!!!!!!!

A whole week before I was expecting it, too! My picture's dreadful, of course, but really, I never knew passports were so pretty!

I was already resigned to that: I have a theory as to why ID card, Driver's License, passport and other official pics are always so awful--it's proof they are the genuine article. Someone ever shows you one with a *good* picture, well, it's probably a fake, LOL!

Passports really are quite pretty. I just wish I had a reason to get to use mine.:)

As to the pictures: mine was okay. It actually was a fairly good picture. The Wee One, of course, has one of the best pictures I've ever seen on an official document. That girl almost has to try to have a bad picture taken. We didn't let the postal people take ours. We went to Walgreens and had them taken.

I had mine done at Walgreens also, but it didn't seem to make any difference!

And kids are always more photogenic than adults!

Oh, I am so glad your passport has arrived! I remember my relief when mine came. Don't you just love the little stars the are on your actual photo when you move it around? And the Eagle! (I guess in a way we could all say, "The Eagles are coming, couldn't we?) See you in Scotland!

The pictures in passports are prone to be dreadful, at least if they have the same rules as in the EU. Don't even think about smiling! Why does your hair fall into your face? Do you really need glasses? *pushes glasses up to the eyes so that you can't blink without brushing against them*
Horrible business. I look like an escaped prisoner. :p

Yes, I think they use the same picture-taking rules for official stuff the world over--they want to make sure everyone looks the same: dreadful!
