Oh.. hey, can I ask a passport question? I vaguely remember something about you needing to get a new one if you gain or lose a certain amount of weight from your passport weight. Am I totally crazy or is that something you remember from getting yours?
Oh Oh Oh! We had a Betsy McCall paper doll thing when I was a kid where you had a light table and all sorts of patterns you could trace together to design your own clothes and oh oh oh!....
(I don't remember being able to give her a beard, tho...)
OMG, I wish those were for sale! I'd break the bank! I'm still attempting to get my hands on a Frodo Madame Alexander doll. One of these days, one of these days . . .
These are absolutely adorable! But oh, poor Gimli!
Why can't my doll makeovers ever turn out this cute? But I have to admit I never would have thought to use Tonner dolls. Mine are all Barbie and Ken remakes, which makes the hobbits a touch problematic. (I have thought of using Skipper or Stacy dolls, but they're so skinny!) At the moment I think I'll stick with the Elladin and Elrohir that I'm working on.
As for the paperdoll discussion, I still love them and I have a large collection stored in boxes under my bed. I even found a couple of hobbit dolls on Elfwood.

I know Dover has some, but they just aren't quite the same as the ones you used to find in among the coloring books and connect-the-dot books...

Date: 2007-09-05 02:11 pm (UTC)There should have been Merry and Pippin. And Legolas. I'm not sure if a doll could have been found that would work for Gandalf...
