I had fun knitting my hobbit feet! It's the costume I wore at ScotMoot! The pumpkins were a lot of fun to make.

We still have a lot of stuff that needs to be finished up, but at least the front of the house is finished in time for the holidays.

Love your hobbit lass outfit. That's what I want to have someday. I don't sew, at all, and finding someone willing to make it, as well as getting material and such has been problematic. Oh well, someday.:)

Love all the decorations. I keep telling myself I'm going to go all out some year and do lots of decorations, but I never do.

It was warmer than ususall here this Halloween, but it was still chilly. I think that's the one thing that puts me off doing more outsdie stuff is the cold. In the last fifteen years we've had everything from 80 degrees, to rain, to 33 degrees and snow flurries. Now that was a cold Halloween.:)

Well, maybe you can find someone to do it for you! Perhaps there's some kind of trade you could work out. Or you might be able to buy it! Try these sites:

Where you might be able to buy a chemise, bodice and skirt. They are a little pricy though. You could also try ebay. Sometimes Renfaire or SCA people will sell their garb online.

We left the fall garland and the scarecrow up for Thanksgiving. Next year, I want to decorate for every single holiday!

Thanks for the links. I'll have to check into it, when I have some money to invest.:) I have a chemise and an over-dress, but they are floor-length, or a little longer, and the bodice I had got messed up because it laced on the sides, and the laces got tangeled up and I can't untagel them. the dress actually made me think more of Gondor than of the Shire, but it was what they had and there was no way to ask for a special commission.

This is just another item on that list of "Someday I will have...".

Wonderful! And I am so taken by your screen porch--brings back memories of my grandmother's house when I was very little! There is something so very gracious about a screen porch...

My husband is just in *love* with the screen porch, and I'm crazy about it, too. When we bought the house, the only screen door was on the side. We had a new screen door put in the center front, it was re-screened, and we had the deck, steps and ramp built on. The window next to the porch is new, also.

I love both Chivalry Sports and Smoke and Fire--they are awesome just to browse!

It wasn't that hard to make. It's basically just a chemise with a drawstring neck, a side and back laced bodice, and a skirt. I made them calf-length instead of long, and then knitted the furry feet with fun-fur yarn.
