Wheeeeeeee. I love Rusty so much, and I'm so very happy that you wrote this story for me. It was really very brave of her to do what she did, and her crying on Pippin's shoulder really was just perfect. (Pippin's just good at that, isn't he? Being a shoulder to cry on, that is.)

Oh, I love this. Rusty is such a wonderful character. I always thought she should have been a Took. She's so much like them.:) Now, she just might really become one. Yay!

That bit with her crying on Pippin's shoulder was great. He is such a compassionate soul. He's just the type who would let someone cry all over them.

Well, it's late. I'm off to bed with happy thoughts of Pippin gaining Rusty as a relative in my head.:)

Yes, now she'll be one of Pippin's cousins by marriage, LOL!

Dana's written a few stories where lasses cry on Pippin's shoulder, and I just love it, so she encouraged me to have that happen in this one--though it seemed just natural for it to happen.

It's been so long since I've read any fic, this one was delightful to start back up with.

So nice to meet up with Rusty again, and I love your descriptions of her, and her interactions with Pippin. Wonderful bit of storytelling, Dreamflower! *sends thanks to Dana for prodding this out of her*

I'm so glad you enjoyed it! Rusty's been a fun character to work with, and it seemed only right that she encounter Pippin again after the Troubles. I'd always known in the back of my mind that she'd wed a Took, but I'd never known how it was going to come about until just lately.

And you can see she outgrew her crush on Frodo.
